According to the Breaking News reports, American rocker since previous Wednesday and Thursday performances at RDS in Dublin extended stay, Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin on Friday after surgery on his torn knee ligament repair.

Prior to the surgery, Bon Jovi spoke to Extra about his injury, saying: "It was raining; we were outside. It was nothing that abrupt... it just sort of gave out and tore. Fortunately, we have a week off. So the doctor claims I'll be alright for Istanbul eight days later."

Tweeted on Friday that the singer's brother Matt Bonjioni surgery was successful, posting: "Jon's knee surgery went great. All is well - it'll take a lot more than that to slow him down. Next stop Istanbul!"

Bon Jovi's tour began in Istanbul on July 8.
