Bon Jovi wants one of you

To search a local starting act for their Feb. 12 show in Pittsburgh the popular New Jersey rockers will host a contest.

The contest at qburgh.com could be registered by the unsigned bands from the Pittsburgh region.

If you are capable of performing and to play good music for 30 minutes, it might be you.

Q92.9-FM and Pittsburgh’s CW are the sponsor and the deadline to enter and submit a two-song CD is Jan. 21.

Bon Jovi has selected its Pittsburgh pal Norm Nardini to start the Feb. 11 show.

on Bon Jovi first met Nardini in 1980 at an Asbury Park, N.J., club. Bon Jovi sang background on Nardini’s 1983 CBS Records album “Norman Nardini and the Tigers.”

Bon Jovi was the top-grossing concert act of 2010, according to Billboard and Pollstar.
