Sugarland fans?

Okay, so as I told a friend earlier, my brain has been in permanent "fart mode" for the last two weeks. Blame it on the overworking, the crappy weather, and the itching for my Europe trip this summer.

But this takes the cake - I placed an order on Amazon last week for a ton of CDs (seriously, don't buy from the stores - get new albums from sellers on Amazon. Half the price or less, I swear.) including Sugarland's Love On the Inside, of which I only have a burned copy.

Well, I was hasty - and I'm never hasty - in my ordering since I had a list of CDs I was looking for, and I found the deluxe fan edition and snagged it. It arrived today in a large, flat box...too big for a CD.

That's because it was a double vinyl LP.

HOW I managed to miss that in the freaking order AND confirmation, I have no idea, but my brain officially wins Farter of the Year.

So...I have absolutely zero need for a Sugarland LP, no matter how much I love the album, and I really want to resell it. Unfortunately, while buying on Amazon is a steal, SELLING is another story - they rob you with their stupid commissions. And I can never sell a thing on ebay.

So I'm throwing this out there - if any Sugarland fans (or if you know someone else who would want i!) are interested in the deluxe fan edition double vinyl, I'll sell it to you for not a penny more than what I bought it = $14.29 (including tax and shipping). Just Paypal me and I'll ship it the second you buy it.

It's brand new and factory sealed - really a beautiful collector's item! I just don't have room for Sugarland memorabilia among all my Jovi stuff. ;)

JBJ raises $2 M for Corzine campaign

From nj.com:

NEWARK -- Two days into his re-election campaign, Gov. Jon Corzine raised more than $2 million for his effort tonight at a sold-out event featuring Jersey rocker Jon Bon Jovi.

The three-song acoustic concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center drew a full-house audience of more than 2,700, according to Corzine's campaign. Bon Jovi did not charge the campaign for his performance.

The Sayreville-bred rock star kicked off his set with the hit "Who Says You Can't Go Home," a song used by the state's tourism agency. He followed that with "Livin' on a Prayer," which could prove an apt hymn for Corzine's re-election effort in light of his sagging poll numbers and the state budget crisis that has been exacerbated by the national recession.

Corzine, governor since 2006, is facing Republican Chris Christie, the former U.S. attorney, in the general election in a race that promises to be a classic of New Jersey's nasty politics. Noting that, Bon Jovi told the crowd "politics is an ugly stage to perform on." The singer made a brief speech to tout Corzine's credentials as an advocate for the underprivileged and someone who has a "selfless attitude...I always have the governor's ear and the ability to share our thoughts on what we can do to make Jersey a better place."

Bon Jovi closed with "Here Comes the Sun."

Now, I don't particularly care too much about New Jersey politics (I only cared about this event because of Jon ;)), so I don't have too much of an opinion about Corzine. But from reading the comments on the various news and photo sites I saw, it's a very heated topic right now! I'd say the majority of the comments I read were negative - both for Corzine AND for Jon (usually in conjunction with each other, but there's also the occasional "Bon Jovi sucks" reply).

Without turning this place into a mud-slinging brawl, does anyone care to give a few thoughts...?

Back in the Saddle...

Did you miss me?

LOL

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile - I've been picking up extra shifts AND overtime at work lately. I work with a daycare program in the school district, and when employees get sick they need subs. I've been temporarily subbing for the morning shift (8:30-12:00) for TWO weeks now, and then yesterday, lucky me, got to work the early morning shift (6:45-8:45) IN ADDITION to the regular morning shift, plus my regular afternoon shift. So all in all, that makes for 12 hour work days that start at 6am when I have to get up. I'm beat.

My subbing stint ended today, though, and I survived. Barely. I'm planning on sleeping a good solid 12 hours tonight...we'll see how THAT goes. :P

So I'm catching up on the blog here, but I have not forgotten you all!
